History of Rotties 

German Rottweilers, also known as “Rotties,” are a breed of dog that originated in Germany. The breed’s name comes from the German town of Rottweil, where they were used as cattle dogs and guard dogs. Rotties were also used by the Roman army to drive cattle and pull carts. In the 19th century, the breed’s numbers began to decline, but they were eventually re-established through careful breeding. Today, Rotties are commonly used as police and military dogs, as well as search and rescue dogs. They are also popular as companion animals and family pets.
